The HiLineDC, integrates in a rugged construction an high efficiency, insulated DC/DC converter and a general purpose control unit. The output power spans from 1kW (Lvi-1kW).
The IET HiLineDC, Model Lvi, is intended for use as service battery charger in industrial vehicles.
The DC/DC uses the traction battery energy to perform the charge of the service battery; it can deliver up to 1kW of continuous power to the service battery.
The unit integrates a microcontroller that manage the behavior of the service battery charger, performs the diagnostics functions and manages the traction battery pack cluster.
With 2 CAN ports, it acts like a gateway between the Powertrain CAN Network and the Cabinet CAN Network, insulating the traffic between these two buses.
It integrates a Ground Fault monitor to detect any leakage of the traction batteries to the chassis. It has an efficiency higher than 95% at full load and a very high power density thanks to the use of planar magnetics.
